I’ve been thinking about getting a dog while studying, but I’m not sure how realistic it is with classes, assignments, and a changing daily schedule. A puppy obviously needs much more than occasional attention, especially when it comes to exercise, training, feeding, and socialization.

For students living in New Jersey, I’m curious whether anyone has experience balancing college life with raising a dog. I’ve seen people searching for Golden retriever puppies nj, but I think the bigger question is whether a student has enough time and a suitable living situation to take care of one properly.

For anyone who has done this, how did you manage your schedule? Did you find that having a puppy made studying more difficult, or did having a regular routine actually help you stay organized? I’d also be interested in hearing how students handled housing rules, daily walks, and caring for a puppy during exams or other especially busy periods.
