I am researching MCh vs DrNBand have a question about recognition and how these qualifications are viewed after completion.
Both pathways are associated with super-speciality training, but I am not sure whether there is any practical difference in how employers or medical institutions consider them.
Does MCh have an advantage because of its long-established presence in medical colleges, or is DrNB similarly accepted for specialist and consultant roles when completed from an accredited centre?
I am also thinking about the future. If a doctor wants to work in a corporate hospital, government institution, private hospital, or eventually move into teaching, does the choice between MCh and DrNB affect those opportunities?
Another thing I would like to understand is whether the reputation of the training institute matters more than the qualification once a doctor has several years of experience.
There is a lot of conflicting information available online, so I would prefer practical opinions from doctors who have completed MCh or DrNB.
If you have experience with either pathway, how have you found the recognition of your qualification in actual job applications and professional practice?
Any genuine experiences or advice would be appreciated.
