Planning a flight from Charlotte and wondering what the check-in process is like? I have found that the easiest way to avoid stress is to prepare before getting to the airport. Checking in online, having your boarding pass ready, and knowing whether you need to drop off luggage can save quite a bit of time.
If you are flying during a busy period, I would recommend arriving early rather than cutting it close. Security lines and baggage drop can take longer than expected, especially on weekends and holidays.
For travelers with checked bags, it is also a good idea to check your CLT Check-in baggage rules before leaving home. Knowing the weight and size limits can prevent an unpleasant surprise at the counter.
Once you are through security, keep an eye on the flight information screens because gates can change. I also like to get to the gate a little early, especially when traveling with family or carrying several bags.
Overall, a little preparation makes the airport experience much easier. Check your flight status, organize your documents, arrive with enough time, and you should be able to start your journey without unnecessary rushing.
