Mythic farming in Diablo 4 Season 14 still rewards players who value speed over ego. After Patch 3.1.1, the smarter move is usually running fast, repeatable kills rather than forcing the highest Torment tier. Your build doesn't need to be perfect either; a practical Charged Bolts Sorcerer cleared the test content well enough while farming useful Diablo 4 Items.
Start Where Your Build Feels Comfortable
Torment 10 is a sensible starting point. The loot gains above it can look tempting, but they mean little if every boss takes twice as long. A clean, reliable kill beats a slow, stressful run. You want momentum: enter, burst the boss, collect the drops, and reset.
Push higher only when the clear time stays close to your Torment 10 pace. If deaths, cooldown gaps, or long defensive phases keep appearing, you're probably losing more value than the extra difficulty gives back.
Turn Small Keys Into Better Runs
The low-key bosses, especially Zir and Urivar, are useful because they help feed the whole farming engine. In 200 small-key tests, eight Biles dropped, with each Bile producing roughly 1.5 Superior Keys on average.
1. Farm Zir and Urivar when your small-key supply is healthy.
2. Save Biles instead of spending every resource immediately.
3. Convert them into Superior Keys for stronger encounters.
That reserve matters. Running out of keys halfway through a session is a common way to waste time, especially when your group is already assembled.
Farm the Boss Linked to Your Loot
Patch 3.1.1 makes targeted farming feel more worthwhile. Boss-specific Mythics showed up during testing, and Lia produced a Staff of Lam Essen. That's a meaningful change from blindly rotating bosses and hoping the random pool finally cooperates.
If you're chasing one Unique or Mythic, check its boss source first. Spending keys on the wrong encounter can leave you with plenty of loot, yet none of the item you actually need.

Greater Bosses Give Better Odds
The 200 Greater Key tests, mostly around Andariel, produced noticeably more Mythic opportunities than the lower-value encounters. Key returns landed around 35-40%, so the system partly refills itself. It isn't infinite, but it helps stretch a good farming session.
Run these bosses when your materials are ready, and keep the pace tight. The real gain comes from completing more quality attempts before your supply dries up.
Skip the Shiny Resource Traps
Mythic Charms look rare, but their current value doesn't match the cost. They use Mythic items permanently while offering maximum charm stats rather than a stronger version. Unless you fully understand the trade, keep those Mythics for gear or future crafting.
Nemesis Layers and Mythic Tributes are also inconsistent. Some players will hit a Mythic, sure, but the tested results gave no dependable reason to replace direct boss farming with them.
Make Events Pay for Themselves
When Gift of the Tree is active, fold Whispers into your normal route. Extra caches turn activities you'd already run into additional value. Check nearby objectives, clear them between boss attempts, and avoid travelling across the map for a single low-reward task.
Spend Materials With a Plan
The strongest post-patch routine is simple: farm at a comfortable Torment level, build Superior Keys through small bosses, then target Greater encounters for the Mythics you actually want. Keep your rare drops intact, and use event caches as a bonus rather than your main strategy. If you need to restock efficiently, compare D4 items cheap options before committing valuable in-game materials.
