Proper care is the single most important factor in determining the lifespan and safety of love doll. Because TPE and silicone are susceptible to damage from moisture, heat, and improper chemicals, a disciplined maintenance routine is mandatory.

1. The Essential Care Kit
Before you even consider your first use, ensure you have these supplies ready. Using the wrong products is the #1 cause of material degradation.

Water-Based Lubricant: The only safe option. Never use silicone-based, oil-based, or petroleum-based lubricants (like Vaseline); these will chemically melt TPE and permanently damage silicone.

Antibacterial, Fragrance-Free Soap: Use a mild, pH-balanced soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or scented detergents, which can cause skin irritation.

Renewal/Maintenance Powder: TPE, in particular, will become "tacky" or sticky over time. A dedicated renewal powder (or high-quality, fragrance-free cornstarch) is essential to restore the skin’s velvety feel and prevent dust buildup.

Irrigation Bulb: Use this to flush out internal cavities after every use.

2. The "Wash-Dry-Powder" Ritual
You must perform this routine after every single use. Skipping it can lead to bacterial growth, mold, and permanent material damage.

Wash: Carefully clean all external surfaces with warm, soapy water. Use the irrigation bulb to flush the internal orifices (vaginal/oral/anal) thoroughly.

Dry (Crucial): Pat the doll dry with a soft, lint-free towel. Then, allow it to air-dry completely. If the doll is stored while still damp, especially inside the orifices, it will develop mold.

Powder: Once fully dry, lightly dust the skin with renewal powder, focusing on the joints and areas where skin touches skin. This prevents tackiness and friction.

3. Storage and Safety
Climate Control: Store your doll in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, which causes material discoloration and weakening.

Proper Positioning: Do not leave your doll in a "stressed" position (like sitting or bent) for long periods, as this can cause the material to tear or the skeleton to deform. A lying-flat position or using a specialized support stand is ideal.

Limb Protection: If you must keep the doll dressed, choose soft, breathable fabrics. Avoid dark-colored synthetic clothing (like black leggings), as the dyes can "migrate" into the TPE/silicone, causing permanent staining.

4. Material-Specific Warnings
TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer): Highly porous. It is very soft and realistic but absorbs oils and bacteria, making regular cleaning and powdering absolutely mandatory.

Silicone: Non-porous and more durable. It is easier to keep hygienic but can still be torn if handled roughly. Always be gentle when posing the limbs.

Internal Skeleton: Never lift or carry the doll by the head or limbs. Always lift from the torso using a "bear-hug" technique. Supporting the skeleton correctly is the only way to prevent joint breakage.

5. Troubleshooting Common Issues
Sticky Skin: The doll likely needs a deep clean followed by a fresh application of renewal powder.

Stains: Dye transfer (from clothing) is very difficult to remove. Avoid dark clothing initially. Some specialized "stain remover" creams exist, but prevention is always superior to a cure.

Odor: This is usually a sign of trapped moisture. Thoroughly clean the orifices, ensure they are fully dried, and consider using an odor-neutralizing spray specifically designed for adult products.

Pro-Tip: If you are a beginner, the most common mistake is over-lubricating the doll. Use only the minimum amount needed for your session, as excess lubricant is harder to clean and can increase the risk of trapping moisture inside.
