If you catch your TP-Link Deco flashing blue, it usually means the Deco box is just about ready for setup OR it kinda lost its connection to your network. This sort of thing can happen after a reset, a power interruption, or if something in the configuration wasn’t quite right.
To sort it out, start by double checking that your modem is plugged in correctly and actually has internet working. Then do a quick restart for both the modem and the Deco, simply unplug them for around 30 seconds, and plug them back in. Give it a couple minutes, and see if that blue light shifts into solid green.
After that, open up the Deco app and look to see if the device shows as online. If it doesn’t show, go ahead and try re-connecting the Deco by using the setup directions inside the app. In some cases, you may need to reset the Deco too, press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds, then release.
Also, an extra fix that often helps is doing a TP Link Deco firmware update. Older firmware can lead to all kinds of slowdown, drops, and general weirdness with connectivity. Just open the Deco app, go to the firmware area, and install any updates that are available.
If the TP-Link Deco flashing blue problem keeps going even after you try all that, move the unit closer to the main Deco, or reach out to support so they can guide you with the next steps.
