I didn’t think the dissertation would slow me down this much, but I’ve hit a point where the writing just isn’t coming together.

I can obtain information and review studies essentially without significant issue, but when I attempt to write on paper, it does not come out in an organized manner. There is an abundance of material that pertains to the field of nursing, which leads to uncertainty regarding whether I should include it in the argument or if it simply serves to provide enough background information to support that argument.

Most of what I write starts to sound like a description rather than a proper discussion, and I keep going back to fix sections instead of moving forward.

While trying to understand how others deal with this stage, I looked into general nursing dissertation help, but I’m still trying to figure out what “good structure” really looks like in practice.

Has anyone else dealt with this shift from research to writing and found a way to make it flow better?
