I’m less interested in bodybuilding and more focused on moving better overall. I want to increase my speed, agility, and endurance—basically, train like an athlete even though I’m not a pro. I’ve heard that athletic performance training programs can help with exactly that, but I’m not sure where to start. Do I need a specialized gym for this, or can most trainers help with performance-focused workouts? Has anyone here done programs like this in LA (especially Santa Monica area)? I’d love to hear what kind of drills or workouts made the biggest difference for you. Things like plyometrics, agility ladders, sprint training—worth it?
